AVerMedia Launches ERMI Out-of-Band Manageability Suite —
Controller Bundle, Module, and Redfish-Based API

Product Overview
ERMI is AVerMedia's lightweight OOB framework that provides users with a consistent, automatable control plane for remote power control, console access, firmware updates, virtual media, device health monitoring, and more — even when the host OS or in-band network is unavailable.
Offered in three forms, the ERMI Manageability Suite is engineered to ensure operational continuity for hard-to-reach edge deployments. System integrators, solution integrators, and software vendors can adopt manageability at the level that best fits their project.

ERMI Controller Bundle
The ERMI Controller Bundle is a validated reference design that combines MCU, flash, firmware, and the ERMI daemon to deliver built-in OOB manageability. Designed for edge integration and expansion, it exposes embedded interfaces (GPIO, UART, I²C, SPI), and includes reference pinouts and sample schematics for expansion boards — e.g., power/relay control, isolated inputs, GNSS, and sensor modules — enabling OEMs to tailor hardware without changing the ERMI software stack. Redfish-compliant, the bundle ensures interoperability with IT management tools and shortens time-to-market as a field-proven hardware/software reference.
ERMI Module
The ERMI Module is a compact, ready-to-integrate out-of-band (OOB) board that delivers essential remote management services with optional cellular (M.2 Key B) expansion for true OOB connectivity. It ships pre-integrated with the ERMI firmware and a local management portal, and is sized for easy embedding across platforms — accelerating time-to-value for integrators and OEMs by enabling immediate evaluation and field pilots without board-level changes.
ERMI API
Based on the standardized, developer-friendly Redfish protocol, the ERMI API provides a single control plane across the ERMI Module and the ERMI Controller Bundle. This API integration covers both hardware options — enabling teams to mix-and-match devices within a fleet and connect to cloud or on-prem portals using the same RESTful endpoints. Vendor-neutral and easy to integrate, the ERMI API streamlines OOB management at the edge with a comprehensive set of operational, configuration, and security controls.
